NFL star Russell Wilson and singer Ciara are parting with their estate in Rancho Santa Fe, California, the Wall Street Journal reports. Should the couple get the $54.9 million they are asking for the property, it will be the most expensive home sale on record in San Diego County. The New York Giants quarterback and Grammy winner, who were wed in 2016, paid $14.5 million for the home in 2021.
During their tenure there, the pair redesigned the 30,000-square-foot estate, which comprises a seven-bedroom Mediterranean-style main house, a separate recording studio, a fitness and wellness center, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a 10-car garage. The nine-acre plot was once an equestrian estate, but Wilson converted its horse arena into a football field to accommodate off-season practice. Other outdoor amenities include a resort-style swimming pool replete with waterfalls, a sports court, a pizza oven, and numerous patios, loggias, and firepit-warmed lounge spaces.
The home’s front entry opens into a double-height atrium crowned by a crystal chandelier, setting the stage for the grand pad and its laundry list of lavish amenities, which include a home theater, a billiards room equipped with a full bar, an arcade, and an impressive primary suite that touts a fireplace, a sprawling white marble bathroom, an office, and a bespoke walk-in closet. Meanwhile, the eat-in kitchen features two jet-black islands, one topped with stone and the other butcher block; a breakfast bar; and two sinks. Tall coffered ceilings, arched doorways, and stone-tiled floors unite many of the interior spaces.
When they find a buyer, it will only be the latest eight-figure real estate transaction that Wilson and Ciara have made in recent years. Last year, they sold a $31 million Seattle-area abode; in 2022, they bought a $25 million mansion in Denver. Last week, they reportedly toured a $30 million New York City dwelling.
